i like to lay on rocks.
even though they’re hard
as rocks.

the soft curves of the
rock are formed to fit my
body’s contours precisely.

mother nature knew i would pick this spot.
she weathered it just for me and this moment.

gravity pushes me into the granite
and the stone massages out the knots of life.

the rock absorbs my tension
and turns it into understanding and new ideas.

tiny, mantis-colored sprouts emerging from deep, dark cracks.

the rock is wise and timeless. living through lifetimes.
passed by many cycles of existence.

reminding us to use our feet, hearts, and minds.
time is fleeting.
keep moving and stay kind.
